“They are all skinny and white”…. Nah, but although overall they are. (There are Asian ones if you didn’t look closely enough, along with other girls that aren’t necessarily “white.” And there are buxom ones that are definitely not “skinny.”) Just remember though that there are hundreds of thousands of digital girl artworks out there, and this was a relatively small collection chosen by DP Shots. Their choice of artworks to show here is their choice, not the fault of the artists.
And I also agree with Enneir. I’m an art graduate, and also know there is a great difference between rendering graphics with modeling software, and creating drawn/painted digital artwork using raster layers, vectors, etc. At least the author did attempt to point out that he/she is using “computer generated” as a general term to describe all digital artwork.

Absoulty love them they were bad A there’s nothing wrong with skinny white girls I have no problem in that, appreciate beauty.
I second Enneir’s point. A lot of these images (like the “Seven Deadly Sins” series by Marta Dahlig were NOT “computer generated” in the way that most people would understand, i.e. ray traced from a 3D programme. Rather they were painted by hand using a bitmap image making/editing software such as Photoshop or Corel Painter. Speaking as one who does the same it’s a point that needs making, enough people think that digital art “just happens” by knowing the secret of switching a PC on the right way without blurring things further.

Hi, I am a art student. I believe you should split these into two categories. one is 3D CG and the other solely on digital art as in digital painting. That was you can place more good works out there in here and also be more specific.

Face it, skinny and white was in the minds of the artists. That doesn’t make them shallow, or somehow out of touch with reality. Some BS modern PC attitude towards race and gender has nothing to do with what these artists found either personally appealing, or artistically expressive FOR THEM. If you can’t appreciate the work for what it is, without critiquing it based on your own biases, maybe you should consider your own narrow-mindedness the problem. Better yet, do your own fantastic work and express whatever it is you imagine these works lack.

I agree with Bel, I feel like these images are just as much about sexualising women as they are about the messages they hold. Skinny White girls has been done, I want to see something deeper than a kiddy pool.

The title shouldn’t be “Computer Generated” since that implies that they were ‘generated’ by a computer, and not designed/ drawn/ rendered on a computer… CG artwork stands for computer graphics.
