Aerial Photography at a Whole New Level
Aerial Photography, as the name suggests, is a technique of taking photography from the sky or air. In aerial photography, anything on the ground is taken as a subject and shot without using any kind of Zoom or zoom lenses. It is also called as Sky View Photography or Bird Eye photography.
There are a number of ways to take aerial photographs. One of the most common is using the birds, hence the name bird-eye photography. Birds are fitted with cameras and the camera is set-up to takes photos at regular intervals. Other techniques include using Air balloons, remote sensing devices, Radio Controlled Planes/Helicopters, parachutes and Kites.
Taking stunning Aerial Photos is an art in its own. Most of the times a photographer is not able to see what he/she is photographing. So, the photographer has to rely on his guess work and instincts. He may take a burst of photographs and then choose the best one among them. Else, he can remotely view through the camera from the ground and then photograph. However, no matter how the photographs are taken – it is always good to learn by example.
