For a dramatic effect there’s no substitute for Black & White photography. Very impressive shots.
In your introduction to the pictures, which are absolutely stunning, you have a small spelling mistake. Your sentence reads “Many photographers shoot just in black and white because of the cheer amount of appreciation these type of photos get.” The word “cheer” should read “sheer”. Just wanted to point it out. The pictures on this page are beautiful.

there’s such beauty found in such simplicity, wow
I know digital tools can be very useful, but it’s sad to see some of these images presented as great B/W shots when in fact several are heavily manipulated (Notre Dame, Lisbon). I prefer raw, well timed shots to a fabrication.

Great pictures. I used to shoot in black and white all the time when I was using film, but now that I use digital I hardly ever convert pictures to black and white. This collection of pictures has inspired me though.
