30 Stunning HDR Photos by Trey Ratcliff

HDR photography or High Dynamic Range photography is an amazing technique of taking pictures that would not have been possible before it came into existence. HDR photos are actually 3 or more photographs of the same subject taken at different exposure levels and then merged into one photograph. The source photographs are usually taken at +2, 0 and -2 exposure levels. Though it entirely depends on the photographer. When 3 or more photographs having different exposure levels are merged into one, an HDR photo is formed which has great details over the original photos.

A lot can be and has been said about how-to and how not to take HDR photographs. However we believe in learning by example. We have collected 30 HDR photographs taken all around the world by one of the expert travel and HDR photographer, Trey Ratcliff. If you are into HDR photography, chances are you have come across his Flickr profile or his Blog – StuckInCustoms. Trey Ratcliff is a very famous photographer, especially in the Travel and HDR Photography niche.

Here are some of the very best HDR photos available today. Most of these photographs have over 50K views on Flickr and SmugMug with a few even going upto 500K.
