55 Stunning Photographs of Mosques
Mosque or Masjid as it is called in Arabic, is a holy place place for Muslims where prayers are offered. The very first mosque in the world is located in Madina, a town in Saudi Arabia where Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi is located. Like everything else in human history, construction of mosques has evolved over the years too. The first mosque was built with mud and twigs but today, some mosques are architecture marvels.
We are showcasing the best photographs of Mosques all around the world. Most of them are architecture marvels and the rest are plain awesome photographs.

The architecture of the Istanbul mosques is spectacular , but the interiors are serene
It’s good to know that religion can produce some things that are beautiful.
Fantastic buildings, though I don’t think the photos are stunning.
thanks friends
love it amazing photography!!!
22 is a mosque. It used to be a cathedral, but was converted by the conquering Muslim army. I love the variety in architecture, and the use of light is extraordinary in some of these. Thank you ever so for sharing these!
@Levent, thanks for the comment. I have fixed the name and photographer’s name.
There is no Thorpe Mosque actually. It is Blue Mosque in İstanbul and the photo is by Kenn Thorpe.

They might be stunning mosques but the vast majority are just average photos. Is OK, but not “stunning.”
Awesome..
The photographs are perfection my friend, but pic no. 22 is not a mosque!! It has drawings on the ceiling and couches and even the very layout can NEVER make it a mosque, although i have to admit it is a beautifully decorated hall.
Jazak Allah! Very lovely and beautiful outlooks…
Great! I have enjoyed a lot with all these beautiful shots.
Here is mine
